19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been won on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden trophy for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a torrid period, managing just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in especial - caused him falling of the top ten and finally separating with long-term mentor his previous coach.
Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial championship since the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt from March of the previous year.
Victory also signifies he has achieved twenty-one championships at twenty-one various competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters at once, so to secure a title is really nice," stated ranked player the champion.
"This championship is in honour of my child Victoria, because the first title I won when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, comprising in Halle in the past months.
The player's counter-punching approach and frequent reactions on court had prompted observers to question if his capacity to perform at the top level was over.
However the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete positively, supported by an enhanced service.
The champion came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging opponent, winning 4 of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
Both players traded breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden professional championship, took control to force a third set.
He saved 4 initial opportunities in a close third set before the champion secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he clinched victory with a point at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to control a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
